GYEON x Coto Collection - Civic Type-R EK9

Every Honda enthusiast and true petrolhead knows the EK9 Civic Type R. It was the car everyone wanted in the early 2000s, and for many of us, that hasn't changed. From videos and car magazines to Gran Turismo and motorsport, the EK9 seemed to be everywhere—except in the USA.   Tai, the owner of Coto Collection, one of GYEON's Partner Studios in the USA, had dreamed of owning one for decades. When the opportunity finally came, he made sure it was the right one: a Spoon-certified build with a period-correct B-series engine and every component exactly as it should be, right down to details most people would never notice.   Together with Spoon and GReddy, Tai takes us beyond the build sheet and into the details, stories, and decisions that make this car so special.   Today, Tai's EK9 is an absolute masterpiece and undoubtedly one of the most impressive Hondas in the USA. Of course, it deserved the very best finishing touch, so it received the full GYEON treatment: detailing, paint correction, PPF, and coatings to preserve and protect its original paint.   Our GYEON USA team captured this story on camera, and we knew we had to share it.
