A marine product’s self-cleaning properties are crucial, as most of the hull remains underwater and is exposed to organic contamination. Q²R GelCoat’s slickness makes daily yacht maintenance much more manageable. Its very high watermark resistance is also a huge benefit, eliminating one of the most significant drawbacks of ceramic coatings in the marine sector.
Very intense UV exposure and salty water are the main reasons for gelcoat, paint oxidation, and colour loss. Q²R GelCoat, being a highly concentrated ceramic coating, has extreme chemical resistance; as a solid layer, it protects against both of these aspects.
Work on larger sections with a maximum size of 1x1m. Wipe off immediately after application. Do not allow it to dry on the surface. TIP: Apply in a circular motion to achieve the best surface coverage. Wipe off with Q²M PolishWipe or Q²M BaldWipe.
